Achamillai is Shabir’s powerful tribute to the legendary Tamil poet Mahakavi Bharathiyar, whose timeless words have inspired generations. As a lifelong admirer of Bharathiyar, Shabir credits the poet’s works with saving his life during some of his darkest moments. This song, released on Bharathiyar’s birthday (December 11), is a heartfelt dedication to his legacy.

Written in 2016 and completed in 2024, Achamillai is a rousing rap anthem meant to inspire courage, resilience, and faith. Shabir wrote this song to motivate himself through tough times and now shares it with the hope that it will uplift anyone facing struggles. The message is simple yet profound: “Have no fear, trust the process, and keep moving forward.”

The music video, directed by Sunder Nagayah, explores the concept of the true enemy we face—a question only revealed by watching the music video. Through this visual and musical experience, Shabir also encourages listeners to engage with poetry and the arts as a means of personal growth, just as he found strength in the words of poets Rumi, Rabindranath Tagore and Mahakavi Bharathiyar.
