The Bully Bluegill Spider is a staple when it comes to Panfish flies. It is a wonderful spider representation and has lots of action in the water. It is at it's most effective when fished in the hotter summer months when the panfish tend to go deeper in the water column. The added weight in the back end of this fly makes it sink deep, where the fish are, and makes the long legs move and flutter which really calls to the fish. It is a basic fly in terms of tying and really lends itself to lots of experimentation! - Enjoy
