Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has promised to construct a state of the art social hall in his constituency in a bid to empower talents of the youths in the comedy industry.

Speaking in Mabakalo Ward, Tomgaren constituency within Bungoma County during the burial of youthful comedian John 'Gift' Masinde, the vocal legislator said that most artists fall prey to conmen due to lack of funds and resources to develop their careers.

He also vowed to use his position at the National Assembly Security Committee to ensure that John 'Gift' killers are brought to book.
