With these sentiments at heart, Mitsuru Ishizuka aptly named this piece "Haruka," which means "faraway." In this composition, he aims to convey a message of unity and resilience. The title encapsulates the theme of maintaining emotional closeness despite physical separation. Through the medium of taiko, through the language of music, and through the essence of "Haruka," Ishizuka hopes to facilitate a shared experience that transcends the miles between us. Above all, he expresses a sincere desire for everyone to find joy and connection in playing this piece.
