Solo climbing Gran Paradiso the Highest mountain peak in the Italian Alps 4061m

Solo climbing a glacier is not advised. It is risky and can get you into trouble fast. I did it and there are some other mountaineers doing it but as a rule, the large majority will not take such a risk.
Rule number one on glacier climbing is to rope yourself to at least one other person. If you solo climb, there is no roping. The danger of loosing control (to fall or get stuck into a crevasse is hight).

I did it, I've solo climbed Gran Paradiso in Italy. It was supposed to be a two days climb but in the end I ended up doing in three. First day was to get to the Gran Paradiso National Park and climb to the Federico Chabod hut, next day I was climbing to then spend one more night at the hut before my descent back to the car.
