So my trip to Kerala started off a little... interesting. Let's just say my first train ride in India wasn't exactly smooth sailing. But hey, that's half the fun of travel, right? Anyway, we finally rolled into Allepey, a gorgeous town with these calm backwaters that are seriously stunning.

Our hotel wasn't fancy, but for $20 a night, it was clean and comfy – perfect for budget backpackers like me. Speaking of adventures, the first one in Allepey is gonna have to wait and see, but trust me, it's a good one!

Ever wondered what that head wobble thing means in India? Yeah, me too. I learned all about this funny little cultural quirk and how it's used in everyday life. Now, onto the important stuff – food! I found this incredible restaurant that serves up the most delicious Kerala cuisine I've had yet. My taste buds are doing a happy dance!

Beaches are supposed to be relaxing, right? Well, let's just say my Allepey beach experience was a bit more, uh, intense than I bargained for. It was definitely scary, but also weirdly beautiful in a way you'll have to see to believe.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we stumbled upon a cool cultural talk. It was a great way to unwind and learn a bit more about Kerala's traditions, history, or maybe even some unique art form. Who knows, maybe you'll learn something too!
