This is a Key Ingredient in Making Meat Salad Dishes such as Nam Tok Nuea, Laab Minced Meat Salad, to Savory Dipping Sauce.

For those who never had this. It is Nutty in Flavors. Has a Crisp Aromatic Texture.

Toasted Rice Powder Khao Khua Recipe:

Instructions 📝

1. In a Pan, Dry Roast your Glutinous Rice on Medium High Heat.

2. Roast for 10-12 Mins. Stir Occasionally.

3. For a Thai Style. Stop Roasting. Shut off Heat. Give it another few quick Stirs and Let it Rest.

4. For Lao Style. It’s Darker! Bring Heat Down to Medium Low. And Continue for another 2-3 Mins.

5. Once Completed. Shut off Heat and give it a few more Stirs.

6. Next Grind to Powder Form using a Pestle and Mortar or Processor Blender (2-3 Mins).

7. Once Completed. Place in Mason Jar or Tupperware.

Adjust to taste.
