The brakes on our 2007 GSXR 1000 had been spongy and were leaking brake fluid from the caliper, so we thought it might be time for a rebuild. We’ll remove the brake caliper on the GSXR, then disassemble the caliper in order to remove the pistons and seals. Inside, we had to put in a little work because we found a nasty buildup of gunk inside, but once we got that cleaned up we could start rebuilding. We’ll show you how to replace the seals, replace the pistons, and then reinstall the front brake caliper on the GSXR.
