THE USER CAN SIMULATE THE DISTANCE RELAY OPERATION FOR DIFFERENT FAULT LOCATIONS AND RESISTANCES AND PLOT THE IMPEDANCE LOCUS.

THERE ARE THREE FILES. THE FIRST ONE IS THE SIMULINK MODEL FOR THE DISTANCE RELAY AND TRANSMISSION LINE. THE SECOND FILE IS THE CODE TO PLOT THE IMPEDANCE LOCUS. THE THIRD FILE IS THE MODULE FOR THE DISTANCE PROTECTION SCHEME.

WHAT IS DISTANCE RELAY?

A distance relay is a type of protection relay used in electrical power systems to detect and isolate faults. The distance relay measures the impedance between the relay location and the fault and compares it to the expected impedance for the system.
