When I saw the subject matter of this book, I knew that I had to read it. The book could have been an opportunity to be derogatory and insensitive, but instead it was a story that was well-written with very realistic characters. And, the subject matter was handled perfectly. As I read the book, I could imagine being at the basketball games and watching the team members in action. Lunsford has an artful way of throwing in minor details that make the story and the characters more lifelike and identifiable. After completing the book, I thought about what women's sports might be like in the years ahead. Or, will we have women's sports at all? I highly recommend this book. It's an entertaining story about a very pertinent subject. I think you'll really enjoy it! --J. Gross
