Beachcombing - Spaghetti Monster

Описание к видео Beachcombing - Spaghetti Monster

Spaghetti Monsters have been washing up this past week. We’ve had several reports of eyeball looking creatures being found along the water line on Mustang Island. These jellyfish are not true jellyfish, but are siphonophores, like the Portuguese Man o’ War, which is a colony of animals living together as one. This spaghetti monster, also called thread jellies, have a scientific name of Rhizophysa. The gas filled float at the top looks like an eyeball at first glance, with long tentacles below. Watch this episode of Beachcombing with Jace Tunnell to learn more about this interesting animal.
