Disused Stations of the Chicago Great Western - Portage to Dubuque - Part 15

In Part 15 of our Disused Stations of the Chicago Great Western series, we complete our journey through northwest Illinois, in Jo Daviess County, and venture across the Mississippi River to Dubuque, Iowa. This time, we visit the former station of Portage, followed by investigation into the Dunleith Tunnel and the Dubuque Railroad Bridge, and then finally visit the former site of the Dubuque main station, just a short distance from the river.
