The Band of the Household Cavalry providing musical support for Changing the Guard in Windsor on 20 July 2024.
The crowds were generally heavy which made filming very challenging at times – sorry for some rather shaky filming in places. It was a cloudy, warm day with not too much wind.
0:00 The band emerging from the barracks and marching up Sheet Street and round into the High Street on their way to Windsor Castle, leading the New Guard, playing "Action Front!" ("Klar zum Gefecht!") (Blankenburg) and then starting "HM Jollies" (Kenneth Alford).
3:07 Hidden by the crowds at first, the band marching off the High Street and up Castle Hill and entering the castle, leading the New Guard, playing the tail-end of "HM Jollies" (Kenneth Alford), and then the start of "Glorious Victory" (W.M.Kendall).
