Killer Black Swan Gets Ripped By Husband's Family at Sentencing

Douglas Benefield’s family members gave statements on Tuesday morning before the long-awaited sentencing of Ashley Benefield, his killer. One of Benefield’s brothers stated that Ashley had caused him the greatest loss he would ever experience but that he forgives her. In September 2020, Ashley Benefield ran to a neighbor's house in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, and stated she had just shot her husband. Douglas Benefield had several gunshot wounds to his leg, arm, and chest area. Ashley Benefield claims she shot him in self-defense after months of alleged abuse.
