चोखो भयो जुत्ता हाम्रो हामी अझै जुठै
सुन-पानी अछुत हामी तिमी भने चोखै
जुत्ता जस्तो जुनी हजूर कहिले फेरिएला
हाम्लाई पनि मान्छे भनी कहिले हेरिएला
कवि तीर्थ श्रेष्ठले लमजुङको भुजुङ पुगेर सामाजिक यथार्थमाथि लेख्नुभएको एउटा गीत; जसलाई गायक फत्तेमानले सत्तरी वर्षको उमेरमा रेकर्ड गर्नुभएको थियो ।

Soonpani, literally means ‘gold water’. Those who still practice caste-based discrimination consider it impure to be touched by the lower castes. They purify themselves by sprinkling water dipped with gold objects over themselves.
