I recently purchased an electric cable hoist/winch from Amazon (their listing calls it the "KITUYOTO Electric Hoist Winch 1100lbs"), and decided to produce a video review and description of product features (I have written a great many Amazon product reviews, but this was the first time I had tried to make a VIDEO review). For some unexplained reason, Amazon rejected it.

So as not to waste my effort, and still share the information with others, I decided to just upload this video to my YouTube channel, without re-editing.

I hope it will be useful to others who might me interested in buying this product.

Regarding my test of the final installation using my own body weight as the hoist load, and actual setup was:
included strap hanging in a loop from the hoist's bottom hook
me standing on the loop with ONE foot on it, with the other foot on the garage floor
my right hand holding the hoist's wired remote control
a step ladder set up on the floor immediately next to me, to give my left hand something to hold onto for stability
I operated the hoist to raise my foot (in the lifting strap) about 1" above the floor, then carefully raised my other foot so that all my body weight was in the hoist/strap. I balanced my weight over the foot that was on the strap, but could put the other foot down immediately if needed. A light grasp on the ladder with my hand prevented swaying, etc. I thought this was a pretty safe thing to to given my setup, but I do NOT recommend that anyone else do this.
