The ANC has nominated Finance MEC Dada Morero to return as Joburg mayor following Kabelo Gwamanda's resignation. There have been growing calls for him to step down over poor service delivery. Weighing in on the matter, ANC Joburg secretary Sasabone Manganye says the conditions at that time [2021] favoured a mayor from a minority party. He tells #Newzroom405's Xoli Mngambi that the ANC didn't use Al Jama-h as a convenient placeholder while getting its house in order.
