Scuba Diving Boca Samí, Curaçao! July 2023

This is a video from a tranquil shore dive I did with some friends from the beach at the small fishing village of Sint Michiel, in Curaçao. This area is known locally as "Boca Samí" which means the mouth of St. Michiel.

There is a dive shop "Wederfoort" opposite the beach and from there we rented tanks. We kitted up outside, crossed the street and walked in at the beach (from where the video begins).

We and spend 10 minutes or so swimming out over empty sand to a large buoy floating in the ocean used to moor large vessels temporarily, where it was 30 feet or so deep and where the drop off began with the reef on it. We then swam to our right (North) for a while and followed the reef and the wall it was on, enjoying the abundant life living there. When we were at 2/3 of a tank or so we turned around and headed back the way we came.

I stayed towards the top of the wall at the drop-off as the light was better. A very fun dive with lots of life!
