8mm cine shot by me in the final months of steam working from Middleton Top to Parsley Hay including the 1 in 14 gradient of Hopton Incline in 1967.
Also shown is the rope hauled Sheep Pasture incline .
To mark the closure of the line there were special runs organised by the SLS and the final sequence begins with engine preparation at Buxton MPD followed by the two J94s leaving with the empty stock ,and finally shots of the specials on Hopton Incline and Mininglow stone faced embankment.
The video has an authentic soundtrack recorded at the time of filming.
