The history of the Daikin Emura model

Daikin Emura, one of the most iconic design, winner of the IF design and other prestigious design awards has a new look. But how it looks compared to previous models?

At the launch of this model, the available powers were 2.5, 3.5 and 5 kW in white and silver color. For 2.5 and 3.5 kW the energy efficiency was A 2 plus, and for the 5 kW model it was Aplus. The refrigerant used was R 410 A.

A novelty at the time was the Intelligent Eye sensor, which when activated by the Comfort function, directed the cold air elsewhere than people were positioned in the room.
In 2014, the model was updated, and, with the introduction of a new design, it brought in the range a new power, that of 2 kW, having at that time 4 available powers, 2, 2.5, 3.5 and 5 kW. Energy efficiency was increased from A 2 plus to A 3 plus for the 2 and 2.5 kW models, and for 3.5 and 5 kW from Aplus to A 2 plus.

At the launch in 2014, it used R 410 A refrigerant, but the following year it had already switched to R 32 refrigerant.

The colors available were still white and silver.

And now, in 2022, Daikin is launching a new update of this model, with a new design, a new black color in addition to the existing ones, white and silver, and also, a new power in the range, that of 4.2 kW, bringing Emura to 5 available powers, 2, 2.5, 3.5, 4.2 and 5 kW.
Energy efficiency at 2 to 3.5 kW is A 3 plus, and 4.2 and 5 kW A 2 plus.

The remote controls now have the color of the units, which is very nice.

We note that the design and technical characteristics has evolved through time, but two main features of the Emura model have remained unchanged, the unit size of the indoor units, all having the same size regardless of their power and the Intelligent Eye.
