The Arkansas Senate State Agencies Committee held hearings on several ballot iniatives to the Arkansas Constitution.
The Arkansas Legislator is allowed to submit up to 3 ballot iniatives to be voted on in the November election.
The main issue was about a constitutional amendment regarding ballot initiatives and signature canvassers.
SJR10 by Matt Pitsch, would have the election commission approve titles and signatures, but only after they have been gathered by activist.
Thresholds for getting initiatives onto the ballot for law or a constitutional amendment were made higher.

Several other problems regarding the petition process were not dealt with such as signatures being thrown out if another signature is bad on the same page.
Livestreaming of the signature verifying process and dealing with organizations that commit fraud are another issue.
