⚡ What’s behind the energy powering Gyermelyi pasta?
The SOLARKIT team designed and implemented a 2.5 MW solar PV system and a 1.2 MWh energy storage solution to help Gyermelyi, Hungary’s largest pasta factory, operate using solar energy, minimizing the environmental impact of production.

🛠️ What technology powers the system?
We used Tongwei 555Wp bifacial solar panels that generate electricity from both sides. This significantly increases output, as the rear side also captures reflected and ambient light. The panels were mounted on a single-axis tracking system that ensures they’re always positioned at the optimal angle, following the sun’s path throughout the day.

Energy storage is a key component of the system. The Huawei LUNA2000-200kWh battery modules offer a total capacity of 1.2 MWh, allowing the factory to store solar energy. This not only ensures consistent daily operations but also helps optimize daily energy demand.

Huawei SUN2000-100KTL-M2 inverters enable smooth power conversion and optimal energy management. These inverters help maximize solar generation efficiency and ensure the generated power is effectively delivered to the factory.
