The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that the upgraded A D M S multi-missile Buk-M3 medium-range air defense missile system which entered service with anti-aircraft missile formations in the Altai region of Siberia, has five times as much combat capability without increasing the number of military personnel.

“The firing capability of the brigade has increased significantly due to the increase in the number of target channels, and the maximum range of destruction of air targets has more than doubled, and this, in turn, allows it to more effectively cover command posts, formations and weapon-built military units a combination of enemy air attack weapons, its precision weapons, as well as to protect military and industrial infrastructure objects in several regions of Siberia, "the Commander of the Central Military District, Lt. Gen. Sergei Ryzhkov, was quoted as saying by the Defense Ministry's press service.
