Throughout this expansion, prayer serves as the vital engine of the kingdom, signaling the church's absolute dependence on God’s power to fulfill his ancient promises.


To understand this "already but not yet" tension, one might think of the kingdom as a sunrise: the light has already broken over the horizon, fundamentally changing the world, even though the full brightness of high noon has not yet arrived.
