According to a Star magazine report from 1985, Imran Khan and Rekha were dating in the 1980s. Their bond grew stronger than mere friendship. The report mentioned that when people saw Rekha and Imran’s closeness on the beach, they were mesmerized and became convinced that the two were deeply and passionately in love.

Another interesting twist in the story was that Rekha’s mother, Pushpavalli, was secretly impressed by Imran. Reports suggest that she believed Imran could be a suitable life partner for her daughter. She even traveled to Delhi to consult an astrologer for clarity about this relationship. The report stated: “She went to Delhi and sought advice from a fortune-teller to know if Imran would be an ideal groom for her daughter. No one knows what the fortune-teller said, but Rekha’s mother seemed assured that Imran would be a welcome addition to their family.”

However, despite the glittering meetings, romantic whispers, and the mother’s approval, the much-talked-about marriage between Rekha and Imran Khan never became a reality. Eventually, both went their separate ways, leaving behind one of Bollywood’s most fascinating half-rumor, half-mystery tales. Neither Rekha nor Imran ever publicly confirmed their romantic past, but gossip mills have kept the story alive.
