NOTE: The video is almost 20 minutes long because I did 2 sets of black truffles to demonstrate the correct method of spawning 8 piles.

If you want a tl;dr run down, here are the steps:

1. Log into your game
2. Go to Forest Island and harvest all the 4 truffle piles
3. After harvesting the last truffle pile, immediately switch to a different town by teleporting to a friend
4. You will be teleported back to your home. Make your way back to Forest Island.
(DO NOT use a bus ride as it will reset the spawning back to 4. Use your own vehicle instead.)
5. Wait for the truffles to spawn. There should be more than 4 piles respawning on a timer now, preferably 8 piles as that is the maximum
6. That's it! Harvest all the black truffle piles as much as you want. After you do this process once, the game will always keep spawning 8 piles of truffles instead of the usual 4

If you log out of the game, exit the game, switch towns, or teleport to a friend's town, then you will have to repeat Steps 2 through 6 from the beginning once again. You might also need to repeat the entire process more than once for the setup to work. It does not work 100% of the time.

You can do literally anything you want while you're waiting for the 8 truffle piles to respawn. You do not need to sleep in the tent or wait in the island. You can catch fish, watch birds, catch insects, whatever else. In fact, you can even go out of the island and do things like tending to your crops and pets, visiting friends, doing events, and so on. It really does not matter as the 8 truffle piles will be waiting for you after 15 minutes whenever you choose to come back.

However, under any circumstance, do not switch your town or exit the game. That will reset the piles count. Anything that pushes the game into a loading screen (e.g., going into Build Mode) will also reset the setup.

⚠️ This might be a bug and NOT an intended feature of the game. That means this could potentially be an exploit that could be patched out by XD if they find it to be unfair, and for which you could get your account banned or suspended. Do it at your own risk. ⚠️

Moving forward, it's best to treat this as a bug until there is official confirmation from XD that we are allowed to make use of this trick to grind black truffles. But other than that, make use of it as much as you want and get as many truffles as you can until this gets patched out!
