Last week I was in Puerto Rico, which you may have noticed if you follow me on Instagram! Fortunately, I was able to order vegan food in Spanish because I grew up around the language. However, I realized that if you don't speak Spanish, you might not be able to confidently order vegan food. I created this video to show you how to ask that your food be prepared vegan. In the video, I talk about the following key phrases and words to ensure an animal-free meal:

Phrases
✣ I am vegan – Yo soy vegano
✣ Does it have? – Tiene...?
✣ Without – Sin
✣ With – Con
✣ Can you make is with/without – Puedes hacer lo con/sin

Words:
✣ Ham – Jamón
✣ Chicken – Pollo
✣ Pork – Cerdo (Carnitas)
✣ Beef – Carne
✣ Fish – Pescado
✣ Eggs – Hevos
✣ Cheese – Queso
✣ Mayo – Mayonesa
✣ Butter – Mantequilla
✣ Cream – Crema
✣ Chicken broth – Caldo de pollo
