Jumping my mountain bike over 100 feet!
In this behind the scenes video from X Games Real Mtb, I set a new personal record and probably the first person to jump this far on a mountain bike in an urban set up. This set up was far from ideal and so sketchy in so many ways but that's why I love stuff like this. I've never jumped a mountain bike this far before and this jump was a blind step down into a hill that someone tilled with a tractor, Not someone who ever thought when they were tearing out the bushes did they think someone would get towed in and jump into the hill. I needed to gain more speed to go as far as I went but I could only do that with help from my motorcycle friend Parker Pitman. Parker is a Pro Supermoto racer and stunt rider so I knew he would be the perfect person for the job, This took a skilled rider to pull me up to speeds of 50mph then come to a sudden stop before crashing into a dirt embankment or even worse falling into a huge erosion rut down a hill. Everything worked out and I ended up walking away with just a fractured ankle from landing so hard on impact.
