Last year’s throwback of Oceanco’s Black Pearl

The hull of Oceanco’s Y712 arrived on the 28th of July in 2014 and left Oceanco’s shed in Alblasserdam one year ago today.

The Nuvolari & Lenard designed DynaRig sailing yacht is not only the largest sailing yacht in the World, but most likely one of the most sophisticated projects too. Although the 88.5m/ 290ft Barbara and 110m/ 361ft Jubilee were launched later, the 106m/ 347.77ft Y712 and now named Black Pearl is still moored in Rotterdam for her final fitting out with Barbara and Jubilee already being delivered. We compiled this video from the moment the yacht was launched until her latest sea trials with her sails set.
