The actual SHSAT contains five math topics: algebra, geometry, arithmetic, probability and statistics. Many students who take the SHSAT will go on to take the Algebra 1 regents thereafter. Typically, 8th graders take the SHSAT in NYC around November for admission into a Specialized High School for 9th grade. *Watching a video explanation of one exam in one sitting would be too long so I have broken your learning up into several videos. Tackle 1-2 videos per day over the course of 3 weeks right before you take your exam. Be sure to attempt the exam once before you start watching and once after you complete all of the videos.
