JOHN'S BIO:

John Abraham has been playing trombone in Calgary since grade 7. His post-high school years were focused in the Wednesday Night Big Band, a touch-point for many music teachers in the city and a stepping point for many of Calgary’s finest jazz musicians in their early years as they worked their way through their music degree. John was always frustrated that the music he most enjoyed listening to was in different genres than the music he most enjoyed playing. He always envied guitar players, with their ability to sit in at a session and get crowds singing. In the past decade he’s worked hard to transcend beyond that, creating Delirium Street Party Brass and collaborating with other Calgary musicians of all genres, bringing his trombone to other bands including Bleeds Green (Green Day cover band project) and including two recent orchestral folk releases by Bent Roads Tavern.

John has worked hard to develop his arranging, mixing, and production skills, and has continued to work to follow his desire to connect with all of the best horn players and percussionists in the city, regardless of their genre of music.
