Fluorescent work light with 26 watts of fluorescent illumination contained within a protective polycarbonate housing. This fluorescent hand light operates on 120 volts. The protective polycarbonate housing completely encloses the bulb. Not only does it protect the lamp, but it also contains the glass, in the event the bulb breaks. This makes it ideal for use in cleaning food tanks.

Light Output:
26 watt fluorescent light projects 1740 lumens, roughly equivalent to a 100 watt incandescent bulb (as estimated by Sylvania). These fluorescent lights are used for cleaning tanks where food is present. The polycarbonate housing ensures that any glass that breaks from the fluorescent bulbs is contained within the polycarbonate dome.

This fluorescent light produces an even white color light. Incandescent lights tend to create yellowish, shadowy light that confuses the eye and makes it difficult to examine a work area with consistency. The light output, color and “evenness of coverage” make fluorescent lights popular for a wide variety of close quarter work and inspection activities.
