Join ASI Teacher, Jedidah, and learn how milk and vinegar are able to create a substance called casein plastic, an alternative version of real plastic. Milk has a protein called casein and when it comes in contact with vinegar the molecules refuse to mix. Instead, they rearrange and form strong bonds. This allows you to make shapes and why it will dry and harden in the shape it is in.

Vocabulary:
Casein: A whitish to yellowish protein that is found in milk and cheese and is used in making paints, plastics, and adhesives.
Strain: To cause to pass through a strainer, similar to filtering.
Bind: To hold or restrict by force.
Protein: A nutrient found in food (as meat, milk, eggs, and beans) that is made up of many amino acids joined together, is a necessary part of the diet
