How To Make The Perfect Tequila Sunrise Recipe | Easy Tequila Recipe

Today on Booze On The Rocks, we make the Tequila Sunrise. Bobby Lozoff created it for Mick Jagger in 1972. Mick Jagger liked it so much that he took it with him on tour, and the rest is history. As a side note, the Eagles recorded a song called "Tequila Sunrise" for their Desperado album as the drink was soaring in popularity.

The Tequila Sunrise is a long drink served in a highball or Collins glass. And with only three ingredients, you can see why. It has the looks and the taste to go with it. Try it out, and let me know what you think.

TEQUILA SUNRISE

2 oz/60 ml Silver Tequila
4 oz/120 ml Orange Juice
.5 oz/15 ml Grenadine

Method

1. Add the tequila and orange juice to a shaker tine.
2. Shake with ice for 8-10 seconds.
3. Pour into a highball glass over fresh ice.
4. Add the grenadine and stir.
5. Garnish with an Orange Wedge.
