Описание к видео How gene therapy changed one little boy's life | Ohio State Medical Center

JuJu Stagg of Tacoma, Wash., was born with a very rare genetic disease called AADC deficiency. It left him unable to control his muscles and caused seizure-like incidents that lasted hours. Thanks to a breakthrough gene therapy treatment pioneered by Krystof Bankiewicz, MD, PhD, JuJu underwent surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and has gained the ability to do many of the things that were once impossible for him.
