Demonstration of VR benefits to combat, or rather an attempt. See, old habits break hard, and I am still used to not using my head to look around and I had to consciously decide to look around to catch the things.

The tools actually running were as follows:

EndeavorOS (Arch Linux)
Steam (linux)
SteamVR (linux)
OpenTrack (linux, not proton) - Needed to turn your head in game.
BigScreen Beta (proton) - Needed to get the screen to follow your head.
X4: Foundations (linux, not proton)

The challenge is OpenTrack by default does not include the steamvr driver. You have to download the steamvr api and add the path to it when compiling. For arch-based distros, this is easy.

ChatGPT seems to have implied there are alternatives to BigScreen, but I don't know what it is. There's a few issues with bigscreen, but so far it's the only thing i've found that works.
