In 2003, The all-Ireland senior championship final was contested by Armagh, the defending champions and Tyrone the Ulster Champions. This was the first time two teams from the same province had contested an all-ireland final. The Final was contested in the jones road venue, Croke Park in Dublin, Headquaters of the GAA.
