After concluding the sale of Reliance Infrastructure’s Mumbai Power Distribution Business to ATL for Rs. 18,800 crore in a transformational transaction for the company, CEO Lalit Jalan tells business channel ET Now that the company’s Engineering and Construction business will be its flagship going forward. He says the company's EC orderbook stands at Rs. 27,000 crore and the target is to grow it to Rs. 50,000 crore by CY19.

He also says Reliance Infrastructure may consider acquiring some of the 200 stressed assets in roads sector.

Earlier, Chairman Anil D Ambani had announced the completion of the transaction on August 29, 2018, stating that Reliance Infrastructure is transforming itself into a capital-light, high-growth, high-dividend, high-ROE company after 65% debt liability payoffs.
