The Dales is a quiet farming community of halflings nestled in the hills north of Beora, where small cottages line the lanes and fields of wheat, mushrooms, turnips, and cabbages stretch toward a gentle forest that sings in the morning light. Life here is humble and warm, remembered fondly by the rare travelers who pass through. It is the birthplace of Kithri Mistymoon, the first halfling loremaster of Beora, and her brother Calum, whose peaceful lives are upended when Kithri acquires a strange tome, an ancient grimoire sealed long ago by magic. As dark forces stir, the siblings are drawn from their simple homeland into a perilous journey to uncover their true purpose and guard the terrible secret hidden within its pages.
