EPSON SCAN - THE ULTIMATE GUIDE FOR FILM SETTINGS

Описание к видео EPSON SCAN - THE ULTIMATE GUIDE FOR FILM SETTINGS

I'VE SLIGHTLY CHANGED MY MIND ON SOME SETTINGS AFTER FURTHER TESTING! READ MY ARTICLE:

basically if you are scanning with one of the color control modes I have found you do get better results if you slightly clamp your values in epsonscan. I may do a vuescan vs epsonscan video in the future.

Everything you need to know about the epson scan software to get the absolute best results when scanning film. I've done TONS of tests with different settings trying to figure out exactly what every setting does and what is the best way to scan and I've come to a pretty good conclusion. I'll have another video in the future as a follow up to this where I show you how I post process the images.

Here is a guide from the creator of negative lab pro which is where I got the -27 saturation number from.

I actually had ran all my tests and wrote the whole script before finding this and just wrote it into the script at the last min to let people know about it. So sadly I don't have any comparisons between using the -27 sat and no cc mode but if people care maybe ill do a little follow up next time I scan some color film.
I couldn't test slide film very well as the only roll of slide film I have is like not the greatest so maybe ill also expand on that, with some comparisons between clamped and unclamped input values.
