IN THIS VIDEO:

Hello everyone! Welcome to this video!

Here is a sight only very few are fortunate to have so I am incredibly lucky to have had this experience. A flight seen with an Avro Lancaster and a B-29 Superfortress, two World War II bombers for which there are only two each that are in airworthy condition on the planet.

Most already know the story of the Avro Lancaster, or VRA as she is known as here in Hamilton, owned by the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Today, she got reunited with FIFI, one of two airworthy B-29 Superfortress' on the planet who is owned by the Commemorative Air Force currently on an eastern North American tour.

Since Hamilton is the last Canadian stop on the tour, the guys at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum thought it would be an amazing idea to get the Superfortress to perform with the Lancaster at the upcoming Community Charity Airshow of 2018 held in Brantford, Ontario and why in the hell wouldn't it be! ;) This would mark the first time they flew together since June of 2012 which is also the last time that I saw FIFI.

Seen here in the video is the practice flight which was delayed from 1400hrs to 1730hrs due to heavy winds on this day at the time of departure. Then, when 1730hrs came around, both aircraft started up with incredible sound and departed off of RWY 30 to practice the flyby's in Brantford before returning with an overhead of Hamilton and landing back on RWY 30. What an amazing sight that I was so fortunate to see!

Enjoy the video everyone! And I'll catch you all in the next one!
