Emerging as the first official recording act from the collapse of UK metal act ‪@interlock2579‬ ( ‪@anticulture‬ Records ) in September 2008, talanas straddle the line between death metal & progressive rock and were set to record throughout May & June 2009 at Berry Street Studios, originally with James Dunkley (The Rotted, Centurions Ghost, Fields of the Nephilim), then with Tom Whiston (Machinochrist, Ascetic) and with final production & mastering with Jaime Gomez Arellano of Orgone Studios (Paradise Lost, Mayhem, Moonspell).

Formed by Hal Sinden & Joe Butterworth, interlock's singer & drummer respectively, they are joined by Ewan Parry (sredni vashtar), Mark 'Duff' Duffy (First World Circus) & Josiah Lutton (Adastreia).
