Two Days in Jeju Island, March 2022

In March 2022, John and I took a whirlwind weekend trip to Jeju Island, South Korea to celebrate my birthday. Blustery wind, thunderous waves, and brilliant yellow canola flowers made this a particularly memorable season for visiting Korea's volcanic paradise. Here's the itinerary we followed:

1. Arrive at Jeju airport at 7:30 a.m. and pick up rental car
2. Morning coffee at Cafe Soon in Jeju City
3. Delicious (and cheap!) breakfast at Olle Guksu 올레 국수
4. Morning at Aewol Port: we parked near High End Cafe for tangerine tea and pastries, and walked along the oceanfront to Cafe Team Blow
5. Hyeopjae Beach near Hallim (협재해변)
6. Forest walk at Hwansang Forest
7. Canola Fields in front of Sanbangsan Mountain (산방산)
8. Cliffside walk at Dragon Head Coast (용머리해안)
9. Dinner at Solluna in Seogwipo (서귀포시)
10. Sunday morning brunch at Tangerine Cafe in Seogwipo (서귀포시)
11. Short hike at Jeongbang Waterfall (정방폭포)
12. Drive up Jeju's eastern coast
13. Lunch at Myeong Jin Abalone (명진정복)
14. Walk through Manjanggul Cave (만장굴)
15. Dinner at Sushi Otaru Omakase in Ara1-dong
16. return rental car, and walk to Starbucks Seohaean-ro DT branch (스타벅스 제주서해안로 DT 점) to have coffee before getting a taxi to the airport
