The most valuable company in Europe is no longer LVMH or any other fashion brand.... nor is it in tech... and it has taken over American consumers!

It’s a company that has found a drug for weightloss... something that the likes of Elon Musk, Khloe Kardashian and the top celebrities in Hollywood seem to be taking already.

What started as “Ozempic”, a drug to treat people of Type 2 diabetes... was found to have a strange side effect.

It made people feel fuller that would lead them to eating much lesser.

It’s a hormone inducer, a slightly higher dosage of which has been branded by Novo Nordisk, the Danish pharma company, as “Wegovy”

It has received the US FDA approval and is selling for USD 1300 for a dosage that lasts a month.

It’s said that junk food companies around the world are already rationalising (reducing) their future sales targets to take the impact of Wegovy.

Other pharma companies are now in a race to release their own version soon and it’s expected that prices for the drug will fall soon with other substitutes available.

Quite like everything pharmaceutical, it has its side effects, and is to be taken only in consultation with a doctor.

Ask me from a consumer perspective, this is going to blow up with plummeting price and wide scale adoption... it’s like the low attention and low discipline culture permeates every part of the human existence till it goes to extinction.

Quite like I would always prefer to read books to keep my attention and learning abilities in active check, I’d prefer that everyone exercises to stay fit instead.

But you can’t fight capitalism in a free world.

Also, who said the most valuable company in Europe is no longer in the fashion industry... if you think about it...

While it looks like pharma, it primarily serves our vanity and need for fashion.
