Replica JAPANESE SWORDS - Something Modern Makers Get WRONG!

Replica Japanese swords (mostly katana) are one of the most popular forms of replica sword sold today. Yet lots of people probably don't realise some of the differences between these replicas and original old 'Samurai swords'.

I have not specifically chosen these for their size and indeed you do find smaller examples more comparable with the replicas. However, it seems that the majority of smaller tsuba were for wakizashi rather than long swords.
