Sounds of Virtue is a piece of Chinese chamber music that was composed in 2014. With the belief that “there should be nothing that is pretentious in music”, from “The Manifestation of Music” in the “Record of Music”, a chapter in “The Book of Rites”, the piece hopes to integrate nature into music. This song depicts the noble character and romanticism of ancient Chinese musicians through the everchanging and developing melody, so as to pay tribute to traditional Chinese music.
