Creating a brand new perspective for sarees and making saree hip, Ashwini Narayan, has created her own unique drapes that are adorned and adored by saree connoisseurs across the world. She makes draping a saree more fun and easy going.
Like Kankatala, Ashwini too believes that saree is a 6 yard fluid fabric and there is no one way to enjoy wearing a saree.

“Why limit a woman or a sari to a single definition? Breaking stereotypes, one drape at a time - the sari is here to stay as the garment of the future”, says Ashwini.

Kankatala celebrates ‘Heroes in Sarees’ as we put the spotlight on 8 real-life women achievers who have managed to break the glass ceiling in various fields while draped in a saree. This initiative aims to highlight the fact that there is nothing a woman in a saree cannot do.
