Couldn't really bring myself to play this until now... yeah, it's a mod for HL2DM, but the SteamPipe update made the game unplayable. Thankfully there was an unofficial patch for the latest version on the game's page which moves the game over to Source SDK Base, making it playable again.

But yeah, SourceForts... a classic HL2 multiplayer mod. A capture the flag game with two teams and five classes. Gameplay comes in two phases; the build phase, where players move blocks to protect their base and flag, and the combat phase, where the players get to use guns to kill the enemy players and capture the enemy team's flag, which uses the rollermine model.

A SourceForts 2 was in development, as an Alien Swarm mod. But it seems that the game never got finished. There was also an update to the original SourceForts in development, called SourceForts 1.9.5, but that game also got stuck in development hell. So the final version released was 1.9.4.1 (played in this video). However, an updated version of the game called SourceForts Classic 1.0 officially brings the game to Source SDK Base 2013 with updates and fixes. I guess it was worth waiting that time.

Wanted to make this video short to save time on getting to the next mod, so it's just basic gameplay, not all classes shown or all the maps. Think I figured out how the mode in Bisounours Party works now.
