Bacterial wilt is caused by Ralstonia solanacearum
Host plants are potato, tomato, tobacco, bringal, banana, cotton, and some others.
Sign and Symptoms
Disease symptoms different in different plants…
In tomato and bringal initial symptoms are wilting of terminal leaves and after 2-3 days entire plant wilt.
In potato the plant wilt quickly.

Ideal conditions
Warm temperature
High moisture content in soil (moisture stress)
Soil worms and infertile soil
Leaving infected residues in the field

Prevention
Prevent moisture stress
Destroy infected plants immediately
Crop rotation
Control of nematodes
Use disinfected farm tools
