Episodes are 20 minutes long and air every other day at 23:00 UTC (6 p.m. Eastern, 3 p.m. Pacific)

Welcome to Ultra Hardcore! In this game type, players compete against the environment and each other to be the last miner standing. With one big change, of course: a full food bar doesn't regenerate health - the only way to do this is to craft a golden apple (an apple surrounded by eight gold ingots) to regenerate 2 hearts.

Golden Heads (made like golden apples, but with the head of a fallen player instead of an apple in the recipe) will heal only 3 hearts instead of the usual four.

Finally, the cursed gamemode is played! WMC 13 - When Miners Cave is a Teams of 3 Dungeoneering recorded round. Players were put on a team of 3 based on the season that they were welcomed into WMC.

Standard UHC rules apply as well: no Tier 2 or Strength pots, no Enchanted Golden Apples (or feeding them to horses), Optifine Zoom disallowed, no portal trapping/camping.
